That's is very rarely a topic I like introduced because it is one of the few that actually gets me mad enough to punch whomever is arguing with me.
I've also noticed that normally the people that bring it up are against me (unless they are pointing out what someone on the other side said, as in this case).
must... kill... government...
point is, I highly encourage same-sex couples to go to those few other countries that allow their marriages. Or have a commitment ceremony. It's not legally recognized (gag!) but it's meaningful nonetheless.
One of the cutest pictures I have ever seen was taken when SanFran (briefly) legalized gay marriage. The picture was of 2 brides, both wearing veils and holding bouquets, and absolutely beaming.
Who are these "officials" to say that this is wrong?
(I shouldn't have started on it... sorry for the ranting post!)
